Shade exists in every landscape we've encountered, and now there is a set of flowers that can handle the partial shade, partial sun environments and still look beautiful.
This premium blend is proven in areas that receive a minimum of 4 hours of sun a day. This mixture contains 26 wildflowers, 18 annuals for first-year color, plus 8 perennials or biennials for second and successive years' bloom. We recommend this for uuse up against a fence or building, or near trees or anywhere where sunlight is diminished. You'll be surprised what grows with a little attention and water.

Q: Which states are these partial shade wildflowers native to?
A: None. With that said, none of these seeds are considered invasive, and most are annuals, so the perennials will stay and bloom year after year. This is such a variety of seeds, there is no single state where every one of the seeds in this mix are native at the same time. We recommend our Wildflower Seedles if you want to plant native wildflowers. Our wildflower Seedles have native wildflower blends that will grow in every state, and because they are annuals, you won't have to worry about them spreading invasive species beyond where you plant them.
Q: Do I really just throw them on the ground?
A: In short, yes.
The optimum planting time depends upon your climate and average rainfall. In areas with colder winters, spring or early summer seeding is best. Spring plantings should be done as soon as the planting area can be worked, but after the last frost. Early summer plantings should only be done if rainfall patterns are anticipated or supplemental irrigation is available.
“Dormant” seeding can be done in late fall when temperatures are low enough that the seeds will not germinate until weather warms the following spring. In mild climates, plant fall through spring, to take advantage of winter rainfall. A fall planting allows the plants to develop and provide an earlier display of flowers in the spring. If planted in spring, make certain rainfall is expected; otherwise, supplemental irrigation will need to be supplied.
Q: What are the growing instructions for these Partial Shade Mix Wildflowers?
A: These shade tolerant wildflowers work well in planting Zones 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8
Sunlight: Half Sun / Half Shade
Moisture: Dry, Average, Moist/Wet, Well Draining
Spacing: 4 to 8 inches apart in all directions
Site Preparation:
Clear the site of any weeds and/or competitive plants like grass. Work a shovelful or two of well-aged manure or organic compost into the soil prior to planting to improve soil conditions and help promote abundant blooms. Then plant awesome annuals seed balls half-way into the soil with spacing as indicated above. Water daily until they are 4-6" tall, unless rains will provide ample water (such as in the spring or fall).
Q: How many do I need for my space?
A: Each seed ball contains between 25-45 wildflower seeds depending on the flower variety and their germination rate. Each Seedle can cover up to 1 square foot of space, but for a denser look of flower place 3-4 per square foot.
Q: How Big Are They?
A: Each Seedle is the size of a nickel, some are slightly bigger.

I gave Seedles packets to my 4 grandchildren instead of easter eggs - they have all come up and I have some the cutest videos ever of them showing them off proudly. thanks for such a nice product.
Like most of the country, we’ve had some wild weather this spring! I waited until what I “thought” was late spring (mid April), but we actually ended up getting snow 2 additional times after I planted. However, they’ve done amazing! Definitely a slow start, but 100% growth on all of them! 💜 I’m really impressed with the product as I do not have a green thumb!
